This late 70’s Claud Butler came as part of a multi bike swap but sadly it’s way too small for me at 20 1/2″ from centre of crank to centre of seat pinch bolt .The hubs and caliper’s are date stamped 78 so i am going for a 1978 Claud Butler of unknown model and unsure of tubing forks are labelled as 531 but no readable labels/sticker for frame it takes a 26.4 seat post which is used on plain gauge 531 frame so it could be 531 but i am not saying it is .Its either had little or no use or its been rebuilt i tend to think it’s the first ie little or no use as so much of it looks late 70’s ie bar tape that is very clean and shows little or no signs of wear .Wienmann side pull calipers front and rear , 700 alloy rims , non quick release hubs fr & rr the rr is a flip flop unit , spokes are tarnished but will clean up and i would suggest a tweak or two as some are a bit slack . Continental tyres were new last year and have done less than 15 miles . Simplex 5 speed gearing , silstar double crank .A rare chance to own what i believe a genuine original condition late 70’s road bike .Would prefer collection from nn8 Wellingborough NorthantsAsking what i think is a fair price of £175 collected but open to offersalso listed on cycle chat
Current Price: £175.00
