Vintage Raleigh Kellogg’s Pro Tour 12 Road Racing Bike in beautiful condition, fully refurbished and ready to ride. From what I can tell, everything is original (maybe even the bar tape and tyres!). Sold between 1987 and 1989, this one is 1988/89 because it has the black brakes and levers, and the white stem.
Frame: Reynolds 501 steel frame, 25 inch (large). No dents or damage. Paintwork is in great condition, just a few scratches, mainly on the top tube and chain stay. All the decals are in place and original, in good condition with a few minor scratches and starting to peel up at the rear of the seat tube.
Drivetrain: 52/42 chainring, Custom cranks and steel sports pedals. No toe clips. Shimano SIS front and rear derailleurs, with SIS indexed levers. 6 speed cassette. No play in bottom bracket. Gears changing nicely.
Wheels: Alesa 700c alloy rims, Maillard hubs with quick release, Michelin tyres with plenty of life. Wheels run nicely.
Components: Weinmann brakes, plenty of life left in the pads, matching Weinmann levers. Missing the rear reflector. Raleigh engraved bars, bar tape looks original, a little grubby with a couple of tiny tears, but not worth replacing yet. Sakae white alloy stem. No play in the headset. Raleigh Aero Race saddle, seatpost free to move.
Collection only, from South Oxfordshire or Southampton, or anywhere on the weekly commute in between.
