Selling my lovely Bianchi Gold Race 300 Road Bike after far too few miles due to the frame being just slightly too big for me.
The older race frame has a fairly aggressive geometry making it ideal for a slightly taller rider – for reference, I am 5’7 and the reach is just too long for me – I think the way the bike is set up at the moment would suit a rider a few inches taller. Despite this, I still found the bike smooth, fast and comfortable on rides up to 80km (the furthest I’ve done!). I just wanted to upgrade to something a bit smaller.
The bike was purchased from a collector in Brighton during the first lock down, and it’s been kept in lovely condition. The frame is pretty much immaculate other than minor cosmetic markings I’ve shown as best I can in the pictures, and comes with upgraded wheels, Fizik saddle and like new (used about 3 times) bottle cages. The Mavic Aksion tires have plenty of life left in them. Shimano 105 groupset with flight deck shifters (minor cosmetic damage as seen in pictures). Comes with stock or no pedals, up to you.
The bike has done less than 100 miles since a full service on the gears and brakes, and has an almost brand new chain and rear cassette. Please note the gears are currently indexed off of the smallest chain ring – this was a time issue from my LBS and is an easy fix if you can index the gears yourself or just take it in to a shop for a minor fee.
This bike is ideal as a first bike or for an experienced rider who wants another bike that’s clean and flashy (the pictures don’t do the colour justice).
