For sale – Boardman Race aluminium road bike with carbon forks. I believe I bought it in 2012 brand new from Halfords. Over the years I have upgraded a number of components including:
Brand new flat top handlebars and bar tape for comfort as of 15/08/18
Upgraded Shimano 105 rear derailleur (also changed from 9 speed to 10 speed)
Upgraded Shimano Ultegra Cahinrings and Cranks
Simano 105 brakes
Shimano 105 Levers
Shorter stem
Lightweight Selle Italia saddle
Shimano SPD clip in pedals (can also offer standard plastic flat pedals if preferred)
And Continental Gatorskin tyres.
I’ve really enjoyed this bike, I’ve used it for commuting for 6 months, two sprint distance trialthlons and a few longer distance rides as well as the usual weekend rides. It has about 2500km under it’s belt total so is relatively low mileage and is still in pretty nice condition. It has a few cable rubs and general wear and tear that you would expect for a bike of its age, but only superficial.
From memory the bike is a 58cm or 60cm frame (I can’t see it marked on the bike) so is suited for a taller rider. I am 6’3″ and have set it up to be quite comfortable.
Really good all rounder bike, only selling as I have bought a new bike and it would be good to free up some space. If you have any further questions feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to answer them!
