This is a beautifully presented bike, easily the best Boardman carbon colour scheme (mens or womens) in my opinion.I bought it last year as a gift to my wife. She has refused to give up her hybrid for road cycling so I ended up using it on my near redundant turbo trainer (she already had a turbo trainer bike). It’s been very lightly used as I have been committed to trail and mountain running over the last two years and this situation hopefully isn’t going to change. Since buying the bike new from Halfords last October, my very infrequent turbo sessions have been easy spins to recover from running.So, in essence, the buyer is getting a bike that is in almost showroom condition. The wheel rims and brakes are completely unused, save for the fact that I took the bike out for a 2 mile ride around the local estate to check everything over before listing it.The bike is based around a Shimano Tiagra drivetrain and FSA Gossamer compact 50/34 chainset.Changes from the factory specification are the Vittoria Zaffiro 25mm tyres with masses of life left (it came with Vittoria Zaffiro Pro tyres which I swapped onto my own road bike when I put this on the turbo) and the Specialized Toupe saddle that is fitted in the photos. The original and unused Boardman womens saddle is included (see last photo). The buyer can have both saddles when collecting (the bike is not available to post and we will not use couriers).It was £900 in Halfords with a 10% discount from the £999 selling price. The bike is a size 51.5cm which Boardman specify for a women’s height range of 5’4″ to 5’8″. It was great for me as a 5’7″ male with an inside leg of 30.5″. I would keep it without hesitation if I wasn’t too far over the front end when low on the bike but having a longer male torso does mean that I am an inch or two too far forward in this regard. I thought about putting a longer stem on but it handles nicely as it is and will make a fine bike for the right person.One final note. I have ridden numerous road bikes and this really impressed me around my local streets which are rough and uneven. There was no buzz coming through the frame and bars. In short it impressed me massively with its smoothness, admittedly, in a very short ride.As stated, collection only please.
