Cadex CFR-2 -90s carbon racing road bike – RESTORED AND UPGRADED.
Classic racing bike from Giant’s racing branch Cadex.
One of the first carbon bikes ever made.
Carbon tubes with aluminium lugs.
Medium size:

I have stripped this stunning bike, cleaned and built the bike from the ground up with the latest Shimano 105 r7000 groupset.
Built this to sell, but fell in love when making it. But I have too many to justify keeping (planning on starting a family soon).
New bottom bracket
New headset
New full 105 r7000 groupset (except left shifter)
Left shifter is even better Ultegra r8000 due to global parts shortage.
Upgraded “Look” Sprint carbon fork (vast upgrade to the original steel fork and worth around £200+ on its own being from the famous French brand).
There are some marks that I have tried to show in the images but this is an excellent example of a legendary bike.
Upgraded Giant Contact SL saddle (very light).
New A-head steerer and stem set up makes for a stiffer and more planted ride (great climbing and sprinting).
Upgraded wheels could still be upgraded further, but much lighter and stiffer than originals.
Front: Giant PR2 (older – might need replacing but brake track is good and wheel true)
Back: Boardman Air Elite – used but excellent condition with great baking track and stuff due to extra depth (I believe it’s 40mm).
Ultegra rear skewer.
Upgraded 105 pedals – used/worn but very solid.
I can swap these for original Look Ark pedals if preferred.
Bar tape not installed as I wanted to offer width of handle bar and length of stem – 8 have some spares, so message me if you’re interested.
But bar tape will be installed when sold.
PLEASE NOTE:
Front derailleur not installed in images as still need to install the working left shifter, but will be installed for sale.
PLEASE NOTE: Tyres will be Continental gator skins NOT THE TAN WALLS as they don’t fit quite right.
