Fresh from the back of the garage.54cm all-aluminium Retro Cannondale R400 CAAD framed road bike, Shimano 105 ‘Flightdeck’ groupset, and mostly original Cannondale ‘CODA’ parts, ‘SLICE’ carbon front fork etc. When the 105 rear mech died I bought a mountain bike style (34 or 36t) rear cassette and a compatible long cage mountain bike style rear mech as its quite hilly where I live. I found a short DEDA ‘Cortissimo’ stem as the original was a bit of a reach. Neither of these jobs were finished and that’s how the bike has sat for the last seven or eight years. The deep blue metallic paintwork is very presentable with the inevitable scratches and a few small allu blisters beneath the paint, but I’ve given the top tube a quick wipeover to give you an idea of how it will clean up. As a minimum, your are going to need finish fitting the rear gear cable, buy a chain, index up the rear mech and fit a spacer or two to the 1″ ‘Ahead set’ to finish fitting the stem. The tubes might still hold air I have no idea. You’ll need to add your pedals. Will be a smart retro with minimal work. Sharp handling bike that rides very well. I’m 5′ 7″ and a bit and its a good fit. Collection from south Dorset / BH19 / BH20 or will work with you courier etc.
