Tourney groupset with 2x chain rings and 7 sprockets at the back, a good range of ratios for flat and climbing. Tektro clincher brakes and Continental Ultra Gatorskin slick tires. Chain and brake blocks recently replaced. Standard pedals with clips but easily switched out to SPD etc if required.
This is a really good entry-level road bike for kids aged 8-10. Stiff aluminium frame, tough and reliable- we’ve done some 50km plus rides with this bike, no problem. It’s got all the features of a proper road bike and is easily serviceable with readily-available Shimano parts.
