Carrera TDF Ltd Racing Road Bike – Adult Mens Large Bike – Used . Condition is Used. Collection in person only.
Selling a 2014 Carrera TDF Limited Edition Road Bike, owned it for around 5 or 6 years and it’s been fairly well used. No accessories included.
Hasn’t been maintained in a good few years so there are several notable issues / things to be aware of!
– Had a fair few punctures, wasn’t sure if the inner tube was catching on a sharp edge on the rim possibly so rims were about a year ago. Had another puncture afterwards and didn’t use the bike after that.
– Following on from the point above, the front wheel has NO INNER TUBE inside, so this will need to be purchased. The rear wheel still has the tube but unsure as to whether this has been punctured or just flat, so may need tubes for both wheels.
– Hadn’t really ever had proper lights attached so there are a couple of cheap lights / reflectors on the bike, taped on unfortunately so might want to remove these entirely and attach new lights.
– There are two cheap bike locks attached around the frame of the bike, unfortunately neither of which I have the keys for as they were lost. They don’t really impede the ability to use the bike, however they are understandably a bit of an eyesore. They are quite basic and relatively thin for bike locks however so it might not be too difficult to get them broken / cut off.
– Pedals were previously not very good so I replaced these a few years back with Shimano R540 SPD SL Sport Pedals, essentially it would be best wearing cycling cleats to use the pedals properly, otherwise you may want to replace the pedals if you don’t use cycling cleats. Aside from the above, the bike should otherwise be in a working condition – as mentioned, it hasn’t been properly maintained in a while however so definitely could do with some cleaning and maintenance work to make the ride a bit smoother!
Unfortunately I’m not much of a cycling expert so further details on specifics may be difficult to provide, and this was also bought for me so didn’t get much information.
