For sale is a Carrera Virtuoso road bike
Used and fully serviced ready to ride away. This is an entry level road bike, but with Shimano Claris you have a very functional and durable set up, ideal for getting started on road cycling or a simple commuter machine
Specs:
Frame – 54cm aluminium frame and aluminium forks ( 5ft6-5ft9)
Headset – FSA headset
Wheels – 700c wheel, rear original Carrera, front a better Specialized wheel
Tyres 25c Schwalbe Marathon rear tyre, Kenda front tyre
Drivetrain – 16 gears from a 2 x 8 speed Shimano Claris shifters and derailleurs, with road STI shifter style. 50/34 chainset and Shimano cassette 11-30
Pedals – Wellgo pedals (new)
Condition:
The bike is used and has some marks on frame, bar tape is a bit tatty and odd rusty bolt. However, I have given it a full service: New headset bearings, and bottom bracket and wheel bearings have been checked and are smooth. Wheels run true, tyres pumped up, gears indexed, chain checked and is under 0.5 chain wear, so lots of life left. Brakes adjusted and brake pads have lots of life left. All cables have been treated with Teflon anti-corrosion oil. The bike is now running nice and smooth.
*I realised I didn’t pump up the front tyre for the photos as I had replaced the innertube. It is pumped up now and no punctures FYI
