This is my Scott Elite Racing bike – best of all worlds, MTB, road bike and gravel bike. Its on flat bars but could take drops if you wanted. Classic geometry makes it perfect in all disciplines.Originally bought this brand new so its only had me as the owner – 26″ hardtail with Rockshox fork.I didn’t need it as I had other bikes to ride but, when I saw it in the dealer’s where I was killing time one afternoon, I fell in love with it and bought it there and then.I’d had it about a day and hadn’t even taken it outside when my over enthusiastic daughter knocked into it in the dining room and the bars swung around clipped the frame and chipped the paint  – no dent, just a paint chip (see pic) – that’s when I decided it was too nice and too expensive for me to ride / damage it further.Half an hour later, I’d hung it on the wall – and there it sat while I used and abused my other cheaper bikes.I’d always intended to ride it but I rarely ever did. Genuinely less than 40 miles in total since it left the shop – its still on its original tyres – even still got pimples on them in places (only 2 days out on separate occasions).About a year ago, once again I decided to use it and as I already had a hardtail and a full suss, I thought I’d turn it into a gravel / road bike so I bought the Schwalbe City Jets for the standard 26″ wheels. I rode a lap of the block (see unused, unmarked, Schwalbe’s) and decided I wanted 650b wheels to get the best of both worlds – road and gravel.I bought and fitted a set of 650b road wheels, added the Continental Ultra Sports and a pair of geometry matched rigid forks….. then hung it back on the wallOh and somewhere in the middle of this, I swapped the Hayes mechanical disc brakes for new Elixar R’s just because they were cooler, then obviously I hung it back on the wall.So all in all, as stated, less than 40 miles total, and includes;26″ Scott MTB wheelsRockshox Dart 1 fork (absolutely mint)650b / 27.5″ wheel set with discs (new and unused)650b / 27.5″ Continental Ultra Sports (new and unused)26″ Schwalbe City Jets (new and unused)Rigid fork (new and unused)3 x 9 Shimano gearsetRace Face Prodigy cranksetXT rear derailleur, LX front (LX used to be in the middle between XT and SLX but Shimano dropped them for greater differentiation between XT and SLX.Avid Elixir R hydraulic brakes (some sign of paint lift but age related not from use)Scott narrow XC pedalsOriginal Scott super narrow XC bar with long, way out there stemCarbon bars – Chinese brand – did fit but prefer the flatter Entity barEntity bar, relatively flat (scratched on top – originally my son’s bars – that’s where his lights were)3 x 26″ inner tubes. Original Hayes mechanical disc brakes with Scott leversTakes about 20 mins to switch from mountain bike to gravel or road and vice versa. There are a few small marks on the bike predominantly from me taking bits off and on and messing around with wheels etc. Worst mark is the paint chip caused by the bars and gear levers catching the frame on day 1. A bit of corrosion here and there. It is is lovely condition and I don’t really want to sell it however, the wife has finally put her foot down and wants it gone before I can have a new motorbike (which I might actually use… or will I?…. probably need much bigger hooks for the wall!!)TBH, I’ll not be sad if it doesn’t go as I can always say, “Well, at least I tried chick”I recommend anyone considering a bid then please come take a look. It isn’t showroom condition but, you’ll not find a classic and more versatile bike in as nice condition as this, anywhere else (outside of the Scott museum or someone’s private collection)Its pick up only and cash only. No paypal, no postage.I try to be as honest and open with my listings as I can, hence the amount of text but this tends to benefit both me and you, the buyer. Please don’t bid to come, kick tyres and re-negotiate – the  price we agree is the final price hence the best way is to come view it in person. Please see my feedbackHappy biddingCheers
