Claud Butler Road Bike Racing Bike Vintage Retro Classic. Believed 1967.I have just completed a total rebuild of this classic racer.The frame number suggests 1967.After scraping various layers of paint off, the original was red so thats what I went with.Two coats of primer, two coats of red and white and two more of lacquer give a bright finish. The paint is not perfect (rattle can) but looks really good from any distance.I have applied appropriate transfers as you can see.Brand new: Wheels (hubs, spokes & rims)TyresInner tubesRear cassetteAll cablesBar tapeI have refurbished:Bottom bracketChainset (chain, derailier and chainring an dcranksHeadset I have replaced with used but excellent:PedalsSeatIt rides like a new bike and should last for another 50 years!Ride it or hang it on the wall!I thought I would keep it forever but I enjoyed the build so much I’m now doing another.
