Collectors L’Eroica vintage Special C.N.C 531 road race racing bike – barn find
Very rare Special C.N.C. 531 road bike that was custom made in Paris in the early 80’s – it features French made cycle parts throughout. It hasn’t been ridden for a long time and will need some TLC – therefore it’s sold as spares and repairs!

I bought this as a project but realistically I’m not going to refurbish it. The brakes and gears work OK, wheels are in good order, but it will need new tyres, bar tape, brake lever hoods etc. The stem and seat post move in the frame for height adjustment.
It’s used so has scratch and rust on the paintwork and some corrosion on other steel parts. -check out the pictures
Specification:
Frame/Fork: Reynolds 531 – Stronglight headset
Transmission: Simplex derilleurs with Mavic shifters and a Stronglight chainset
Bakes: Mafac 2000
Wheels: Maillard Helicomatic hybs, Rigida rims – takes 700c tyres
Finishing kit: Lightweight alloy bars, stem and seatpost, with a basic leather covered saddle (don’t think this is original.
Size: 51cm (measured centre too top) and a 50cm top tube– it should fit a rider 5’ to 5’ 5”
Collection only: Little Chalfont, Bucks, or I can meet you at Chalfont and Latimer station (Metropolitan or Chiltern line).
