Hi welcome to this auction for a Colnago V1-R with Shimano Ultegra 11s groupset. I think this is a 2017 model but I bought it brand new as ‘old stock’ only last year, hence it is still in great condition. This is an opportunity to own a high end carbon road bike at a fraction of the cost of a new one. The difference between high and even mid-range carbon is unbelievable. As it was also in collaboration with Ferrari, it will also be a future classic and hold it’s value really well. Size is 52s which is about a 56cm. I am 6’0 and like my bikes on the smaller side and this is perfect. The specific geometry is available online via google. Since owning, I have upgraded a couple of components. The bike now has as a FSA SLK 110mm Carbon front stem with Deda Zero aluminium aero bars (42cm). The saddle will be returned to the original Prologo in the last picture and I will keep the one currently on the bike. If you want a shorter stem, I also have a 90mm stem I can swap the SLK one for. The groupset is 6800 Ultegra with a compact chainset (172.5mm) and a 30T 105 cassette. I replaced the chain and cassette about 200 miles ago as the original only had a 26T. The wheels are 45mm carbon rimmed by Forza who are Ridley’s own in house brand. The RRP is £800 and they are brand new as these were swapped with what was on my new bike. The tyres are brand new but not what you would class a high end, so you might want to swap. The only reason I have bought a new bike is I wanted to upgrade to DI2. Paintwork is in stunning silver and is still very good to excellent but does have the off small paint chip and light stretches. These are not noticeable and as such haven’t shown up in the pictures. Collection is of course preferred but I am more than happy to post. Please note, while it is cheap enough to post a bike, I insure for the full amount hence the higher costs than you might be able to find yourself. Please take this into account.
