The Focus Cayo won the world road race championship in 2005 and was world “bike of the year” in 2007. This frame is from 2007 and was re-built from the frame up using only quality components. The carbon frame was built in Germany with over-sized tubing ( the downtube is a massive 53mm. diameter). A new, unbranded carbon fork is fitted.The crankset is an FSA Omega all alloy unit with 46/36t chainwheels ( cyclocross ultra compact). The rear cassette is shimano 12-28t.Both mechs are Ultegra, as are the brakes and shifters are Shimano 105 (R7000).Carbon fibre seatpost and Toseek aerodynamic bars are fitted.This bike was built by me for my own use, but has had few miles use ( too many bikes and rider’s increasing decripitude!). Very good mechanical and cosmetic condition, with some wear to the top tube paint. always garaged and never used in the wet! The frame is massively overdesigned and so no sign of fatigue or stress cracks, but a bit heavy at slightly over 9 Kg.Very suitable gearing for the less strong rider and therefore good for a newbie, a lady, a junior or an oldie (like me).View anytime in Clacton and Collection only please.
