For sale is my 2015 Focus Izalco Team SL 4.0, under 7kg road bike.
As per the spec below, except I am adding the FFWD carbon wheels, and the Fizik saddle was changed to a slightly more tolerable Fizik one for hours in the saddle!
If you’re not familiar with this model here is what you need to know. Focus took the frame that AG2R rode in their 2013 season (including the Tour de France) and built if for mere mortals to ride with a £2500 price tag. The 4.0 came equipped with SRAM Force 22 (chosen for it’s low weight), Fulcrum wheels and Full Fizik finishing kit to make it incredible value for the £2500. The low weight means it accelerates like nothing I’ve ridden before and makes it exhilarating to ride.

A high performance bike at an affordable price, the Focus Izalco Team SL 4.0 Compact Road Bike 2014 uses the same carbon fibre frame the AG2R La Mondiale Team used throughout the 2013 season. Dressed with the finest, Italian Fizik components, the handlebar, stem and seat post are lightweight and stiff.
The sub kilogram frame is not only light it is also incredibly stiff and comfortable. A tapered seat tube adds stiffness as does the tapered head tube. The oversized, hollow chamber bottom bracket connects the beefed up chainstays to the seat tube and down tube. The 3D full carbon dropouts add stability, are lightweight and add rigidity to the rear wheel. Comfort is catered for with elbowed comfort seat stays, these dampen the ride and soak up vibrations without impairing performance.
Internal cable routing improves aerodynamics, allows you to run your cables with less of a bend, so improves braking and shifting performance.
The performance derived geometry offers the perfect balance between an all out race machine and a comfortable all day cruiser.
A fast frame need a fast shifting groupset and the SRAM Force 22 system does not disappoint. Offering precise, smooth shifting at the touch of a lever. This enables you to move up and down the 11-speed cassette with ease. The compact gearing is perfect for hilly sportives and rides, providing you with plenty of gears for every gradient imaginable.
