Giant Defy 3 Aluxx SL 6000 Series, size M/L, endurance road bike custom built, full Shimano 105 5800 groupset. For many more photos of the bike please check this link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/w7ijaWAjCXhgVYKu5Selling this bike as need to make space for another new. I am 169cm tall (about 5’7’’) and this bike always felt little too large for me. It will probably better suit someone taller, about 175-185 cm (5’9’’-6’1’’), but this is just me guessing.Specifications:Frame: Aluxx SL grade aluminiumFork: Carbon blades with aluminium steererFront derailleur: Shimano 105 FD-5800Rear Derailleur: Shimano 105 RD-5800Shifters: Shimano 105 ST-5800 integrated break/gearBottom Bracket: Shimano 105 5800/6800 BBR60 “English” threaded Hollowtech IIChainset: Shimano 105 5800, 50-34T, cranks 170mmCassette: Shimano 105 CS-5800, 11-32TChain: KMC X93.11, 11 speed, silver, non-directional with “quick-link”Brakeset: Shimano 105 5800 BR front and rear rim brake dual pivot callipersBrake Levers: Shimano 105 ST-5800Handlebars: Giant Contact SL, Width 420mm, Drop 125mm, Reach 75mmBar Tape: Giant Connect Gel 2.5mm, blackWheelset: Shimano WH-RS550 (Front), Shimano WH-RS010 (Rear)Tyres: Continental Gator HardShell, 700 x 25C, FoldingSaddle: Unbranded, as shown on photos, new conditionSeatpost 1: Non-original “EC90” carbon, 31.6mm, 350mm, zero offset, 220-230 gramSeatpost 2: Original Giant aluminium, 31.6mm, “as shown on photos” offsetWeight: sorry, forgot to weigh my bike, but I can check later!I bought and assembled this bike part by part starting from Sep-2017. The frameset and stem came in Jun-2017 from eBay as second-hand (I am the second user), full Shimano 105 5800 groupset has been purchased in Oct-2017 new from Evans Cycles, handlebars came new in 2018 directly from Giant store in Twickenham, saddle came new in 2018 from eBay but soon has been replaced with another (this saddle is still new) due to personal preferences, wheels are from my other bike which got upgrades. The chain has been replaced on 17-Aug-2019. Fully degreased and re-lubricated with Muc-Off Wet Lube for rainy weather. I usually degreased and cleaned chain every 300-350 km and replaced it as soon as stretch would reach 0.5% which for me was usually at around 2000-2300 km mark (round up 1200-1400 miles), thanks to my cycling stats in Strava and RunTastic mobile apps. It is currently at 140km (87 miles) so has long way to go before needing next replacement. The headset bearings have been replaced on 20-Jul-2019 so they are in very good condition.Front wheel hub and bearings have been fully serviced on 31-Aug-2019. Rear wheel hub and bearings still feel smooth enough since they were serviced on 02-Sep-2018.All gear and brake cables and their outers have been replaced on 02-Jun-2019. They work as good as new, shifting and braking is close to perfect.Brake pads have been replaced on 17-Mar-2019; there is some life left in them but they would require replacement soon. The carbon seatpost, 31.6mm in diameter and 350 mm in length, was bought from eBay in Jan-2019. It is not original “EC90” brand. It is uncut, so can be extended if required. I bought it mainly for better fit purposes as with zero offset it allowed me to push my saddle forward just little more as needed. Original aluminium “Giant” seatpost in also included in this sale (not sure what is its offset).Pedals are included as on the photos. I can’t say much about them; these came with another bike I bought recently but I did not use them. I ride with clip-less SPD pedals now.The bike frame and other parts have many scratches, scuffs with major noticeable paint chippings on the fork, between seat stays, on the back of seat tube. I already bought the frame with quite few cosmetic defects (including paint chipped on the back of the fork) and added some more in the last couple of years of use. Clear signs of rubbing on the chainset are from my shoes – I used to ride on flat pedals before I changed to SPD clip-pess. Please check carefully the photos provided. These imperfections are purely cosmetic and don’t affect the bike’s functionality or reliability. The bike rides and gears shift like new.The bike is registered on BikeRegister website. I will be happy to transfer the ownership to the new buyer (email of the buyer is required) once the bike is paid in full and collected.I very much prefer collection in person from Epsom KT19 and then please pay in cash upon collection. I can package and post the bike in UK with courier at additional fee (as clearly specified) but I can do so only over Saturday and Sunday regardless of when the bike is paid for. Upon request and mutual agreement I might be able to deliver the bike to you anywhere around 10-15 miles from Epsom (particularly towards Central London); I would have to drive or cycle there on this bike or bring the bike on train at negotiable separate fee, please ask for details. If any questions, please ask, I will be happy to answer as I am the owner and actual user of this bike.
