I’ve built this bike last autumn but not ridden much, 7-800 miles tops.
Seat tube length C-C 50cm, top tube C-C 52cm, medium size. I’m 5’11” and it fits like a glove, with plenty of visible seatpost as seen in pictures.
Condition is very good overall, considering it’s age.
It has scratches, paint chops and rubs from cables but nice gleaming metallic gold.
Internal top tube cable routing for the rear brake, I have seen a few Pelotons for sale but never one with an internally routed top tube cable. It looks very sleek and makes the bike look cleaner.
It looks brilliant in direct sunshine, not gonna lie it was the reason I bought the frame in the first place.
Please don’t expect a brand new bike or mint paint considering it’s over 20 years old and rocking original paint.
Frame is double butted 4130 cr-mo. 1″ Falcon cr-mo fork with threadless steerer (getting pretty rare now).
Full modern 11 speed Sram Force 22 groupset, 31.8mm Prime Doyenne alloy handlebar 42cm wide, new bar tape, 100mm stem -17 degrees, FSA sealed cartridge headset, 25mm of spacers under the stem so plenty of adjustability.
Dura Ace ptfe coated cables.
Generic saddle fitted as I’m keeping my personal saddle (you know how it is). Clipless pedals included.
50-34 teeth chainrings, 172.5 cranks.
It has 28mm Michelin tires on Campag Khamsin wheels, bought brand new for this bike, same as tyres. I’m fairly sure 30mm’s can be fitted.
I’ve used mudguards with the current setup, no problems.
Bike will NOT be sold with the carbon handle bar pictured.
As pictured, the bike is running an Apex medium cage rear derailleur, with a Sram 11-32 cassette. They will be replaced with a Force short cage rear derailleur and Sram 11-26 cassette.
I could include these as well for an extra fee, it sure helps climbing steep hills.
I have tried my best to describe the condition of the bike. If I missed anything and I remember it I will add it.
I have built this bike very carefully as I built it for myself, not to flip, and It’s a very nice bike to ride.
Original gold Giant threaded cr-mo fork will be included as well, to keep the frame set complete, also someone else may want to put a classic quill stem on it again.
Please note that if you prefer to have the bike posted, a minimal reassembly will be required on delivery. If you’re not confident, your local bike shop can help.
I would prefer cash on collection as it’s in ride away condition, but I can post it for £40 if preferred.
