For sale is this Holdsworth Competition Special 531c Holdsworth was an English company established in London in the 1930s. All the bikes were hand built (up until the late 80s) in Reynolds 531 tubing. Holdsworth established a cycling team which was probably one of the most successful British Cycling Teams (before team SKY/INEOS) securing the British Championship for several years running in the 1970s.The Holdsworth Special sat just below the top of the line Professional with the only real difference being a slightly more relaxed head tube angle and the deletion of the Italia (Cinelli) fork plus the added benefit of eyelets for mudguards.
