L’ Eroica vintage retro Raleigh Record Sprint 501 SXC mid 80’s road racing bike – ready to ride
Great condition L’ Eroica ready mid 80’s Raleigh road bike that features a Reynolds 501 double butted tube frame and decent components – its been in storage for quite a while and isn’t getting used and therefore needs a new home.
It’s in original condition (the brakes have been upgraded to Weinmann 500s with non aero levers) and has just had a checkover and new bar tape.
It’s used so has a few minor scratches and scuffs on the paintwork (some of the decals are getting a bit crispy) and some slight corrosion on some steel parts, but as you can see from the pictures it’s a good looking bike.
Frame: Reynolds 501 double butted
Transmission: Sachs Classic 12 speed – click gear rear shifter
Brakes: Weimann sidepull calliper
Wheels: Maillard hubs, Weinmann rims, 700c tyres
Finishing kit: Sakae bar and stem, decent seat post and the original saddle
Size: 60cm (measured centre to top) and a 57cm toptube – the bike as pictured is set up for me and I’m 6’ 2” – it should therefore fit a rider 5’ 10” to 6’ 4”
Collection only: Little Chalfont, Bucks, or I can meet you at Chalfont and Latimer station (Metropolitan or Chiltern line).
