Here we have for sale a beautiful & very rare Raleigh AIRLite 200 road racing bike
This is in great condition & is mechanically perfect having just been fully stripped & serviced (worth £150 alone) by myself (an expert bike mechanic) & has brand new campagnolo mirage (black edition) brakes, bottom bracket bearings, luxurious new bar tape, gear & brake cables, rear cassette, chain, both chainrings, bottle cage, & stainless steel bolts where required, (please note, this bike will be sold with a new pair of standard pedals).
Equipment wise it comes with excellent Shimano Sora flight deck STI shifters which have a light action & work beautifully, high power dual pivot brakes with Shimano front & rear mechs (the shifting is superb) & a high quality finishing kit (bars,seat,seatpost & stem) which all adds up to a great & robust package.
The bike benefits from having a fully degreased drivetrain & chain which has been hot wax/PTFE dipped which unlike oil stops all the gunk build up, chainring tattoos & prevents premature drivetrain wear due to chain oil mixing with grit & turning into a grinding paste.
The bike has lightweight CAD designed 6061 profiled aluminium tubing, aero forks & Shimano double wall rims in perfect condition with stainless steel spokes & high quality fast rolling anti puncture schwalbe blizzard sport tyres. The frame size is 21”54cm (large) which has racing style compact geometry. The bike rides beautifully & wants for nothing, you won’t be disappointed & will not find a better example rest assured.
It has a 12-26 cassette & a lightweight stronglight 50-34-170 (compact) chain set which is geared for great climbing ability mixed with loads of speed on the flats.
Every bike which goes through my workshop is subject to a vigorous 10 mile road test to ensure perfect performance & reliability so you can buy with complete confidence.
I can supply & fit a set of reflectors & a bell for this bike at no extra cost if required (just ask).
For an additional £15.00 I can also supply a block of paraffin wax/PTFE mix so you never need to oil the chain again (you will need a slow cooker to do the hot wax dip) or you can go back to using oil if you wish.
This would be great for someone wanting to get into racing bikes or would be a superb & reliable fast commuter.
