Raleigh Race 8803 Lightweight Reynolds 531c/Pro Road Frameset 57cm, 1988.Hand built by the Raleigh Lightweights unit in 1987-88 (a seperate part of the Nottingham factory producing these hand built lightweights, headed up by Reg Harris a former Raleigh Pro, and multiple World Sprint Champion) These frames were not part of the main production Raleigh catalogue, but were built to order.Great condition frame and forks, built from Reynolds 531c main frame tubes, with Reynolds 531 Pro rear stays and fork blades, with internally lugged smooth fork crown (as per spec shown in 1987-88 catalogue page in last picture).Frame is built with Prugnat lugs (although the brochure says Super Leger, I think these are the S4 ones), which have beautiful detail cut outs on the head tube and seat tube, and Campagnolo chromed front and rear drop outs.Frame size is 57cm ctc Seat Tube, and 57cm ctc Top Tube.This is in original paint which is in great clean condition, although the Raleigh decals are replacement, no dents or scrapes, only the odd small scratch and mark from limited use, but nothing that can be shown up in the pictures other than a very minor tyre rub on the inside of the chain stay.Would build up in to a fantastic retro/vintage steel lightweight with either period or modern parts.Condition is Used.Dispatched packed in bike box via 48 hour carrier.No Returns
