So buy with confidence.Why by a used bike?1 – The bike performs the same as a new one (if well maintained and well-tuned).2 – You can sell for relatively the same price you paid (if in good condition, etc)3 – 20% – 70% cheaper than a new one.Advice about buying used bikes:- Always check the serial number of the bike when buying, it’s not offensive. Also, as soon as the bike is yours, take a picture of the serial number on your phone (believe me, it will help in the future). I had loads of bikes stolen in London that I don’t have the serial…- Always use a lock like Kryptonite(with the cable, locking the wheels together).- If your bike gets vandalised when locked, remove the bike straight away (it’s the first sign someone will come back for it).- Never leave a bike locked outside overnight, that includes the back garden.- Don’t rely on CCTV systems.
