Vintage Replica Colnago Road bike. Campagnolo/ Shimano Parts. Just serviced.
Frame size 55cm (for rider height of approx 5’7 – 6’0)
NB. I’ve been advised by a couple of ebay users that this is likely to be a replica Colnago rather than the real thing and so have had to relist the item in the interest of clarity. Apologies to any bidders on the prior listing. That said, it is still a very nice bike to ride and with some very good genuine parts on it. It just seems that the steel frame is from another manufacturer and rebadged as Colnago.
I’ve had this bike for a couple of years now. It was bought on a whim with the intention to use it more as it is a really lovely steel framed bike and would have been quite expensive when new. I’m guessing it is from the early 1990s.
Clearly it has been custom resprayed at some point. The parts on it are very good and include:
– Shimano 105 brakes and headset
– Shimano 600 gears (2 x 16) and brake calipers
– Royce Titanium Bottom bracket (v expensive)
– Campagnolo Chorus seatpost
– Campagnolo (I think) chainset
– Rigida DP18 Aero Racing wheels
– Shimano 600 hubs
– Shimano Competition pedals
– New handlebar grip tape
The bike has just received a full service prior to sale by Bespoke Cycles and has had bearings checked and greased, new cables and a safety check.
The tyres and saddle are both fully functional but a little tired looking and dated. I’ve left these on for sale as I realize that these parts will most likely be changed and personalized by the new owner. The paint job is ok but not perfect and there are a few stone chips. Nothing too bad though. It also has a sticker with Larkfield cycles on it so I’m guessing that they may have been the ones that originally carried out the renovation/ respray on it?
