Super retro 1984 Raleigh Record Sprint custom Single Speed Road bike in excellent condition.
The frame is Reynolds 501 tubing and measures 23 inches from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube.
The bicycle has been completely stripped down, cleaned, greased and rebuilt using a mix of new and used parts. These are:
New:
Single speed black Wheelset with high flange sealed hubs and deep section rims
Schwalbe Lugano Amber wall tyres
Black cork handlebar tape
Black Raleigh pedals with toe straps
Brev M black saddle
Sturmey Archer freewheel
KMC gold chain
Front/rear inner brake cables
Alloy chainring bolts
Used:
Shimano 600 seatpost
Original parts include the gold handlebars, Sugino GT Chainset and Weinmann calipers and brake levers.
I love the look of the Record Sprints, but wanted a single speed, so have tried to keep it looking as original as possible while also customizing it to my taste.
The bicycle rides extremely well with everything moving freely and as it should. I have used it a couple of times since the rebuild and covered roughly 100 miles. Getting on for forty years old it does have marks/scratches/blemishes but these do not detract from the overall look. Please study photos for condition.
Im only selling as I have so many bikes and my enjoyment lies in restoring them and not actually riding them.
