Ribble Sportive Racing 105 Men’s Carbon Road Bike size – M
This is a medium size, suitable for up to 6’0″ tall (which I am)
This was my first “proper” Road bike and has been amazing – I’m only selling now to fund a new bike purchase.
I bought this new from Ribble in December 2016, but didn’t start to ride until the weather improved in the spring.
It has been my “Sunday” bike and has not been ridden in the wet.
It’s a full-carbon frame set with a full Shimano 105 5800 groupsets, including the rim-brakes.
The rear derailleur and cassette have hardly been used as I swapped them for a 11-30 and long-cage to take me up Mt Ventoux in July 2017. I kept those on after that, but have put the originals back on for the sale (11-28)
The chain rings are compact 50 / 34
Upgrades over the original spec are the wheelset (Fulcrum racing 5 LG), the seat post (Cinelli Neos carbon) and the saddle (San Marco Regal part carbon).
All-in the bike weighs 8.5kgs
This bike has never been crashed or dropped, the wheels are true and the only cosmetic flaws are in the photos – a couple of stone chips under the down-tube; scuffing to the drive-side crank near the pedal; a couple of stone chips under the chainstay and a bit of light scuffing to the saddle.
The photos show it without pedals, but there are a set of SPD-SLs on the bike and although they are scruffy, they are perfectly serviceable.
The tyres are 25mm Contental GP 4000 II’s with plenty of wear left
I’ve looked after the bike well and it has been cleaned and lubed after every ride.
As the bike that took me up one of the Tour de France’s most iconic climbs, I’d loved to have hung it on the wall, but alas I need the cash to fund the next one.
