Scott Addict R2 10 Speed Light Weight Road Racing Bike Dura Ace Ultegra 56cm.
Up for sale is my much beloved Scott R2 road bike that I have owned since new bought in 2011 from Drakes Cycles, Leeds. I am looking to sell a few of my bikes and cycling kit to finance my next purchase. If this bike or any other item does not sell then I am quite happy to keep it. I have quite a few bikes, 8 at the moment, so it isn’t like I am thrashing out the miles in one particular bike. This one has in fact not been ridden too often in the last few years.
This is the same frame as ridden by the the HTC team when Cavendish was a team member. The weight of the bike is just over 7kg. Be aware that there is not a lot of clearance in the frame so the rear has 23mm tyre. This bike was manufactured before the tendency to have larger volume tyres.
The bike was recently serviced by myself having replaced the main body of the right hand gear shifter with a new one. The derailleur gear cables were replaced at the same time as well as the housing. As you would expect on a bike of this age there are obvious signs of wear however I would describe it as still being in good condition.
I have taken off all of my personal items off so the bike as shown is what is up for sale. It doesn’t come with pedals or bottle cages.
I can only see one example of this bike being sold in USA, not as well specified as this and up for sale at $1500.
I am listing this bike as collection only, cash is definitely preferred. I don’t have a bike box to send it by courier nor do I want to risk it getting damaged in transit. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet a buyer half way at a mutually agreed location though. I am located in Motherwell, about 15 miles from Glasgow.

Wheels – USE 2.4 light weight carbon rims. These wheels are from the same company that manufactures Exposure lights and these retailed around the £850 mark new. The rear has been rebuilt with new hub and stronger spokes by the legendary Big Al at Wheelcraft

I think that’s it, but as a point of reference for sizing I am 6’00” tall and have a 32” inside leg.
