For sale is a well looked after 2011 Scott Addict R3. Size is XXL, which is 61cm.
Bike was fitted with SRAM Rival groupset before I took delivery from Tredzs in South Wales. I just prefer SRAM to Shimano. Only thing remaining is the 105 crankset, the SRAM wouldn’t fit but this works perfectly so no issue.
I also changed the wheels to the Reynolds ones shown, these are awesome, strong, light, stiff – much better than the stock ones that were like butter.
The pedals are Crank Brothers Egg Beater type pedals, not an obvious choice for a road bike but I used to ride MTB as well. You’d proably want to change these.
I bought the bike as a weekend toy so is not some abused commuting machine, in fact it’s been stored on the wall of my flat, not a shed or garage.
Because it had been sat for so long the chain had gummed up and become stiff, so this was changed earlier this year and at the same time was given a service by GO Kucycles in Tooting. I was planning on using this summer but that never happened.
Only things that need mentioning are it’ll proably need new brake pads shortly, but still life in the current ones, the brake hoods are also a bit yellow, they might well clean up. But that’s it.
I’ve not used the bike in the last three years and I’m reluctant to sell it now because I know I’m not likely to spend this amount of money on a bike again, but I’ve not used it and want the money to go towards a new engine for a boat I’ve just bought, so it makes sense for it to go.
