Scott CR1 Pro Road Bike Size 50cm (RRP when new £2,499). One carefull lady owner from new. The bike has been regularly serviced at a local bike shop. Ultegra group set and up graded wheels (Fulcrum Racing Zero with ceramic bearings). (RRP £799). New bike purchased a few years ago and this one has been gathering dust in the garage. The lady owner has talked a friend who who has a passion for bike maintenance into fully cleaning and servicing the bike in preparation for sale.

Carbon fibre fork and frame. Black with red and white detail. No accident damage and no repairs. The frame is in good condition but with cosmetic signs of wear and tear consistent with a well looked after bike of this age.

Rear mech – Shimano Ultegra

Chain – KMC x10 (Brand new)

Cassette – Shimano Ultegra – 10 speed – 11-28

Front Mech – Shimano Ultegra

Chain set – Shimano Ultegra 34-50 Compact 170mm cranks. Outer chainring is worn but serviceable and new chain runs well

Pedals. – None.

All gear cable outers and inners replaced as part of its pre sale service – genuine Shimano products fitted.

Shifters – Shimano Ultegra 10 speed

Bottom bracket – Bearings fit direct into frame and are smooth and there is no play

Brake Callipers – Promax. Pads have plenty of remaining life. Brake cables operate smoothly

Headset. Cane Creek Forty with no sign of bearing play

Stem. Scott 6 degree up or down. 100mm

Handlebars. Scott with brand new red bar tape

Saddle. Stella Italia Gel Flow with extensive scuff marks to corners and a small rip but remains serviceable / useable with plenty of remaining life

Seat Post – Ritchey carbon fibre with cosmetic wear to manufacturers logo.

Wheels. Upgraded to Fulcrum Racing Zero (RRP £799) with ceramic bearings. The wheels run true . No loose spokes. The bearings have signs of wear / a light vibration / grumble can be felt when the axle is held but they still spin very freely, remain serviceable and have life left in them. The wheels are top end light weight clincher wheels.

Tyres. Continental Gatorskin (clincher) front and back 700c x 23mm . The continental wear indicator holes are still clearly visible so plenty of life in them.

Whilst servicing the bike the known issues are:-

1) Rear Mech. The gear cable adjuster barrel is seized in the mech and therefore has no adjustment. An in line gear cable adjuster has been added making this a non issue

2) One of the bike bottle cage bolts on the down tube is broken in the frame. The bike bottle cage is held in place by the remaining good bolt plus a zip tie – which means the bottle cage is perfectly useable and secure plus the broken bolt does not rattle!

3) Drive train (excluding chain – which is new) is used having done a good few miles. I have set the gears and they are indexed. They are serviceable and useable but as you would expect not as slick as when new. Anyone wanting perfection could spend £30 on a new cassette (tiagra) and £33 on a new rear mech (105) and you will have a very lightweight bike that is good for many thousands of miles at a bargain price

This is a genuine sale of a bike which is fully described in extensive detail above. This model won several group tests / awards at the time it was released and I am sure the winning bidder will find it to be comfortable, lightweight responsive and as described. Scott claimed weight 7.3 kg. This one should be lighter given small frame size and upgraded wheels

50cm is centre of bottom bracket to top of seat post. I believe Scott class it as a Small. Current lady owner is 5’6’’ It would suit lady or gent
