Here for sale is a stunning, ultra aero and ultra fast Scott Foil 10 Carbon Race bike, it looks utterly amazing in its fluorescent Yellow and is in very good condition, absolutely purring along. The DI2 gears are the quietest gears I have heard, they barely make a sound and the shifting is faultless. Scott make some amazing bikes and this is way up there with their best, they use a lot of their own brand kit but it is all sublime and rivals any of the top brands, for example, the Syncross RR2.0 saddle costs £60 alone so all the kit is of the highest quality.

The Aero Stem and headset arrangement looks utterly stunning and is obviously an aero advantage saving you watts galore whilst speeding along.

Used with some marks and scratches as per photos – for example scuff on downtube, rear derailleur and cranks, but overall in good condition and your chance to ride a bike that cost £3500 in 2016.

Full Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset. Battery (in excellent condition) is integrated in the seat post.

Full carbon frame and fork.

Chainrings- 52/36, crank length 172.5mm

Cassette- 11-28T

Syncros RR2.0 rims and hubs. These are manufactured by DT Swiss.

Back in 2010, Scott introduced the Foil, as their aerodynamic road bike and it has since gone on to win 15 Grand Tour stage wins and three Classics. Regardless of whether you’re competing, chasing a Strava segment, or taking on your friends in a sprint for the nearest café, the Foil is a bike built for those striving to win.

The New 2016 Foil: Speed Update

The new 2016 Foil features the same lightweight frame characteristics as its award-winning predecessor – its frame weighs in at just 945kg (medium) – making it one of the lightest aero bikes on the market. In addition to shaving off a bit of weight, the new Foil is also stiffer than before, improving the power transfer and handling of the ride, plus the riding comfort has been noticeably elevated.

However, the biggest improvement to the new Foil is the frame aerodynamics. Component integration has been lifted to a whole new level, thanks to features such as a fully integrated cockpit, which will help save precious watts. This all means that while the Foil has maintained much appreciated characteristics of previous incarnations, it has added and tweaked elements to make the new 2016 model faster as a whole. In fact, aerodynamic tests show the new Foil saves 27 seconds over 40km at an average speed of 45kph compared to its predecessor.

The new Scott Foil is a smart evolution of the original with a noticeable improvement in ride comfort, an area where the old bike really suffered. While the lighter and stiffer claims are harder to verify with such a short ride, they are nice things to have and the Foil displays the sort of sharp handling and agility you want in a race bike. We look forward to spending more time with the Foil on familiar roads.

Bike is supplied with all the manuals and a charger and even the receipt showing that it was bought for £3500 in March 2016. Also included are spare spokes for the wheels which costed £100 for the 2 boxes, 6 out of the 40 were used and these spokes are selling for £5 each on ebay so that is a nice bonus in with the sale.
