Specialized S Works Venge Road Racing Bicycle. Carbon Fibre
Very very reluctant sale due to a shoulder injury (non bike related) Purchased to do a London to Paris Cycle Ride.
This is a stunning Venge in black with Shimano Ultegra gears brakes and wheels and super light. (not sure of exact size but think it is a 56 as they do a 56 and a 58 and it is not big enough for a 58 I don’t think. Please see below for info. on measurements etc.

In the last 18 months I have purchased All new Dura Ace cables – new 40cm Specialized Carbon Handelbars SWorks aerofly 25mm rise. This enabled the correct height for me and no neck ache which was brilliant. (there is the smallest of marks on the left top of the bars which is hardly noticeable – new 110mm Specialized S Works SL stem, new Specialised 143mm power saddle.(if you look in the photographs you can see the carbon underneath.) Two new Specialized bottle holders (composite version side loading found this more intuitive than top loading) New specialised Swrap handlebar tape. All checked over and fitted by a well respected local bicycle Service unit in the New Milton area of the New Forest. Currently has Look pedals but not currently included in the sale.
Recently fitted new Tyres being Specialized Turbo Cotton and Inner Tubes, Please see photographs for the wear measure marks which are very clear.
The frame was supplied new direct from Specialized in 2018. This was an insurance claim by the previous owner. The previous frame was damaged on a flight. Hence the great condition of the frame.
I also have some 42cm specialized handlebars and a 90cm stem and a .155mm size specialized seat. These were removed but are not included in the sale. I am planning to advertise these along with other equipment shortly.
Background
I purchased the bike from my local Velo Cafe just pre-covid (2019) and as you can guess the London to Paris trip was cancelled. Due to my injury I would not be able to undertake the ride now so I am very very reluctantly selling my much cherished bike.
It is in stunning condition and apart from some very very minor marks as you would expect from use I cannot see a scratch on the frame with the exception of a couple of marks which are highlighted in the photographs and I had not seen until I turned it upside down. please do look at the photographs as these are key in respect of a full description. Please ask if you would like any more photographs.
The wheels look amazing and are very strong wheels. As you can see they do not have a great deal of wear. The gear cassette does have some small scrapes from the previous owner along with the front cog which does have some shoe heal marks but only minor and could be covered if you wished with some carbon or black bicycle protective tape.
Set up and usage:
Since the set up I have cycled between 30 and 50 dry sunny miles. It is the first time I have experienced such a bike that when you hit smooth tarmac it is as if it has a boost button and just goes so well. It is fabulous.
It is set up for me of course and I am a mature owner 6’2 ish as may be shrinking a bit now. with a 32/33 leg. I purchased and had fitted the longer stem to suit my reach.
Measurements
I have measured the top of the frame (seat) to the middle of the crank (pedal) and it measures 21inches I have also measured from the back of the seat post clamp to the middle of the fork crown (the middle of the handlebar stem) and this measures 23inches. This is why I think it is a size 56 and not a 58. Happy to take more measurements for you of course.Summing up:
What can I say – do not want to see it go but hope it goes to a good home where it will be used. (I did suggest hanging it on the wall but my wife said no)
