I bought this bike off ebay late last year to use on my trainer. It was in a very neglected, grubby, un-maintained state with a few damaged spokes in the rear wheel. I replaced the damaged spokes, although my trainer does not use a rear wheel. Anyway got carried away and ended up cleaning and lubricating all the components (including wheel and head bearings), replacing the gear and brake cables, and fitting replacement caliper brakes. I only used my trainer a few times and now the good weather is here I am getting out on my road bike. Consequently the trainer is being stowed away, but I have no space for this bike or use for it.I have put the bike back together and although it rides and all the gears work, it is suffering some chain slippage, and either probably needs more adjustment and or a new chain. Quite honestly I can’t be bothered messing with it any longer as I have my normal road bike, so all I want to do is get riding. I am only looking to recoup my outlay so here is the opportunity to get a reasonable road bike for not much money, which should only need a little work, or alternatively a very useful source of donor parts.The bike has a very light 56″ aluminium frame, 27 gears, carbon forks and gator skin tyres.
