It is quite simply the bike which sold me on specialised frames, (I now have an S-works and an SL7). Quick to spin up to speed, great on climbs and utterly faultless on the descent – you will want to get this on a long twisty descent and let it rip becuase it will go exactly where you point it. When i bought it back in 2017 this frame was worth £3500Here is Road Cyclings review of the bike which said:https://roadcyclinguk.com/gear/specialized-tarmac-expert-review.html
Ride quality of the frameset is excellent, just as you’d expect. The Tarmac is a performance road bike but it’s not a full-on race beast like the Venge, instead throwing a little comfort into the mix. Handling is sure and sharp, just as you’d expect from a race bike, and although you wouldn’t describe it as comfortable in the same way as, say, the Roubaix, it’s a comfortable enough ride that you don’t need to be a pro to spend multiple hours in its saddle.
Its shod in high end Campagnolo running gear, mainly chorus but the gears are record – all of it carbon based and all less than two years old (i did a complete refit in 2021)The wheels are Fulcrum Racing Zero which retail at around £900 and have the Cult ceramic bearings so spin up incredibly quickly and smoothly. see this review by bike radar which said:The stiff construction transfers every watt of effort into forward motion – get out of the saddle and put the hammer down and you instantly shoot forwards……That said, the ceramic bearing hubs are a delight to roll on. Accepting the lack of aero performance, the ride quality is superb, while freewheeling does feel ‘without drag’.https://road.cc/content/review/fulcrum-racing-zero-2wf-293399The tyres are Continental GP 5000 (but Im including a spare set of colour matched Michelin axial pros which just finish the effect of green/black rather nicely – so yours to choose what finishI can throw in a set of either SPD or Look Keo matched pedals depending on your choice of cleatI can add in a couple of cheap bottle cages as wellPosting is possible but likely to be pricey so would prefer pick up – and i would expect buyers would want to look her over before handing over the cash
