Bidding on this rare TREK 1500 SL (Superlight) aluminum frame with carbon forks, road racing/triathlon bike with 650×25 wheels.
It is in the original and very appealing champagne coloured factory paint with original paint and decals!
This would suit a younger teenage or petite adult rider due to the compact size 51cm frame with 25c wheels.
This bike features a super lightweight "Handmade in USA" Alpha aluminum "Custom Butted Seamless Drawn" frame with lightweight forks with carbon looking tips, cool looking Bontrager 3-piece aluminum cranks, Shimano Ultegra derailleur, Bontrager select drop style handlebars, Bontrager Sport neck/stem.
This example is an older model and seen little use so totally original in parts but shed stored over the years so expect some storage scratches/marks and has suffered from weathering to all the normally shiny silver metal parts. That said I have given it a quick clean and it all seems to function as it should gears/brakes etc.
I have replaced the original chain with a quality Shimano 9 speed branded item. This I suspect was due to the bike being put away after use in wet weather when last out so had stiffened up.
I would prefer this to be a Cash on Collection sale so the buyer can make sure they are happy with the bike before paying.
