Here we have an excellent custom build on the legendary Trek Emonda Frame. If you’re not savvy with the Emonda it’s Trek’s lightest model which is built to fly up the climbs. It also has the most comfortable H2 Geometry, which is designed to keep you in the saddle for longer. The semi-matte finish on this frame is called Dark Roast Black and it really is classy.
The frame is fitted with Bontrager’s DuoTrap Speed/Cadence sensor, which is hidden inside the chainstay. This means you can transmit speed/cadence data to your Garmin/Wahoo or even Zwift without having any external sensors on the bike.
A frame of this quality deserves an epic build spec and this bike has it all. Groupset comes courtesy of Shimano’s new R8000 Ultegra range, which has a list price of £1099.99 on its own. At that price and being second only to Dura Ace this groupset speaks for itself. Shifting is incredibly fast/precise and braking is strong enough to rival discs. It has a KMC X11-EL Gold chain for that extra bit of bling.
The wheels are Superstar Components Pave 28, which are seriously light and quick to spin up. The tyres are 25mm Schwalbe One with loads of tread left and no holes, rips etc.
I’ll list the rest of the spec below so you can see the quality of the parts used to finish this one off custom climbing bicycle.
In terms of condition I would describe it as excellent. There are a few minor cosmetic marks here and there but nothing unsightly. Pictures of every imperfection are available on request.
In preparation for sale I’ve given this bike a service and installed new gel bar tape. The gears shift perfectly and the brakes are sharp. The bike is ready to hit the road this weekend in total confidence.
