Having a Personal Collection Trim-Down – So Listing for a chance to own a very rare Late 50’s Bianchi Paris-Roubaix Gents XL Road/Racing Bike. Un-ridden for a few years but has had a program of updates over the years but the paintwork is original at least! Nice amount of patina/touched-up scratches etc… Chrome not brilliant but ok… Could use new tubular tyres I think but will need minimal recommissioning to ride. Seat post moves ok….The bike is very well specced with 700C Super Champion Eyeletted Alloy Tubeless Rims, Stainless Spokes, Alloy Campagnolo Record QR Hubs, Old Vittoria Competition 28×23 Tub Tyres, 6 Speed Freewheel, Matching forks, 1″ Headset, GB Spearpoint Alloy Quill Stem, GB Etched Alloy Drop Handlebars, Modern EVA Bar Tape Bar Tape, Mafac Alloy Drilled Levers, Mafac ‘Racer’ Alloy Centre-Pull Caliper Brakes, 12 speed Suntour Superbe Gears & Suntour Bar-End Shifters, More Modern Suntour Superbe Alloy Double Crankset, Campagnolo Bottom Bracket, KKT Alloy Quill Pedals & Christophe Toe-Clips, Campagnolo Alloy Seatpost, Lovely Nicly Worn Brooks Leather Saddle & Tyre/Tube Clip etc…The Gents 23″ / 58cm XL-size frame is very good quality and exquisitely built in Italy in very light but strong and Racing Steel (unknown type) and finished in it’s original fairly tidy, Metallic Dark Green / Chrome paintwork. Features Chrome Campagnola Ends, Nervex Luggs and still has original FFCT, Nervex & Campagnolo Decals in place – albeit tatty… but a lovely thing, nevertheless!!I was told by the previous owner that it was a 1957 model but not had that verified at all – frame number is #56039A very collectable machine and a very easy recommissioning job… perfect for L’eroica!Local collection please and Paypal or cash on collection.
