Vintage 1987 (85?) L’ Eroica Raleigh Competition 501 SL road racing bike – very original
High quality L’ Eroica ready Raleigh road bike that features a light Reynolds 501 SL steel frame and forks – its been in storage for quite a while and isn’t getting used and therefore needs a new home.
It’s in very original low mileage condition – its just had a checkover with new bar tape, tyres, brake lever hoods fitted.
It’s used so has a few minor scratches and scuffs on the paintwork and some slight corrosion on some steel parts, but as you can see from the pictures it’s in amazing condition for its age. The seat post and stem move in the for height adjustment.
Frame / Fork: Reynolds 501 SL steel
Transmission: Shimano 600 (6207) 12 speed,
Brakes: Shimano 105 Golden Arrow
Wheels: Shimano 105 hubs, Weinmann rims, new 700c tyres
Finishing kit: Raleigh bar and SR stem and seat post, suede covered saddle. SR SP-250 pedals with Christophe toe clips and Lapize straps.
Size: 21.5” seatube (measured centre to top) and a 21.5” top tube. This bike should fit a rider 5’ 6” to 5’ 10”
Collection only: Little Chalfont, Bucks, or I can meet you at Chalfont and Latimer station (Metropolitan or Chiltern line).
