Viking road bike. Made in Derry, Northern Ireland. 1978
A 57cm steel frame with a ground to top of toptube standover height of 32.5″ (81cm)
700c alloy wheels with wider rims and fitted with 700c x 38 road/off road tyres.
Sakae SR Apex crank with 52T/42T chain rings. Huret front derailleur. Huret rear derailleur. Huret gear levers.
Weinmann 730 front and rear brake calipers with Weinmann brake levers and Dia Compe dual control brake levers
Viking engraved handlebars. SR stem. Atom 440 pedals. Brooks B18 saddle
A fully functioning 1970’s Viking road bike with a steel frame. All 12 gears can be selected, the seatpost moves freely, there is no crank play, the 700C wheels spin true and the Weinmann brakes work very well. The bike is ready to ride and with these 700C alloy wheels with 38 width tyres fitted it is also suitable for off-road use.
Made in Derry in 1978 this vintage Viking bike is in good used condition with the usual scuffs and signs of age and use. The bike has wider rimmed wheels fitted and now has 12 gears. There are no dents, dings or damage to the frame.

Sorry but there is not a postal option on this bike. I would like the buyer to collect the bike in person where the bike can then be seen, checked, ridden, paid for in cash and taken away safely (not PayPal – please select ‘ I will be sending payment’ option after ‘buy it now’). I would consider delivering/meeting the buyer for my fuel costs, depending on location. If this option might be required please ask me in advance. If the buyer wants to use a courier service please ask me in advance – the bike will not be dismantled or boxed.
