Welcome to this listing for a Retro Classic; Raleigh Mercury Road Bike.
The bike is in excellent condition considering it’s age (circa 1980s).
It is a 60cm or XL Frame.
Original pink and white colour way which is in very nice condition. Some chips and scuffs (to be expected of something this age).
It benefits from 12 speed Shimano gears (downshifters) and Weinmann brakes all round.
Tyres are a little old but perfectly rideable!
The rear brake functions but is a little sticky.
I’ve taken this out for a mile and it’s super smooth and a pleasure to ride.
Saddle has a little scuff / marking which may clean up and the bar tape is a little grubby but may clean up with some soapy water.
When riding this I was strongly considering keeping this but have many other projects so it will have to go!
It could benefit from a general degrease and lubricant on drivetrain/brakes.
