Vintage Raleigh Pro Race Road Bike 23.5in Reynolds 501 Frame.
Full strip and rebuild restoration completed over the last couple of months with no expense spared and hours of time and effort invested to bring this 30 year old classic racing bike back to a very high standard of usable condition and it rides really smoothly with effortless gear changes.
600mm (23.5”) Reynolds 501 Double Butted Frame Tubes, mainly original paint/decals, partially repainted (forks and rear stays)
New Shimano sealed unit TS30 bottom bracket.
Original drop handlebars with new black perforated cork tapes.
New Shimano 6 speed 14-28T indexed freewheel.
New 110 Link KMC chain.
Original chainrings 42/52 Sakae RT Powerring, fully degreased with refinished original cranks fitted with quality alloy pedals taken from a Cube MTB.
Original Sakae stem, stripped and polished. Front fork bearings also stripped, cleaned and regreased.
Original Weinman NDC Brake Calipers, stripped, cleaned, rebuilt and fitted with new pads.
Shimano SIS (new old stock) Long Cage Rear Mech, same style as original short cage mech.
New Shimano Compatible Downpull Front Gear Mech Made by Falcon.
Original Shimano SIS Index gear shifters with new cables.
Original black leather effect saddle, seat post stripped and greased, new chrome seat bolt.
New Aero Brake Levers (cables routed through bar tape) with new inner/outer cables.
Original Alexa Black Alloy 700C rims with Sachs QR Hubs, stripped, cleaned and regreased and fitted with new Vittoria Open Corsa Evo-KS 23-622/700x23C tyres.
