This is my trusty Raleigh road racer which I’ve had since the ’90s. It’s quite light for an old steel framed bike, but not as light as modern aluminium or carbon fibre bikes. I was riding it until about 6 years ago, and it has been is dry storage ever since.I’m 5′ 10″ – 5′ 11″ with inside leg measurement of about 31″, and it fits me well. Saddle would go a bit higher or quite a bit lower. 700C Tyres (28 inch wheels) and frame measures 21 inches from centre of pedals to top of seat post (has a sticker 18 – 23, so assume that’s the range of adjustment). A couple of months before I stopped riding it had a service (cost £95) which included new tyres and inner tubes. I checked them out just now and they are still holding air 🙂 The tyres still look good with no cracking or perishing that I could see.Brakes and gears are working very well, and it still rides as it should. I also fitted new mudguards just before I stopped riding it, as I was fed up of getting wet!Comes with front and rear reflectors, a lightweight bell and touring brake levers as well as the normal drop handlebar ones. The rear wheel rim was a bit out of trim but has been made near enough true, although there are some marks on it. But it cycles well and the brakes are working fine. There are some marks and scratches etc as you would expect from a bike that was well used and well loved. I have tried to show the worst of these in the photos (check out my feedback).Collection only from St Albans.
