Vintage Raleigh Supersport 12 Chrome 80’s Road Racing Bike L’Erorica
Originally a Blue and silver Supersport 12 with the paint and blue chrome lacquer removed
I have had this bike for some time with the intention to build a unique custom replica of a vintage Raleigh favourite such as a Record Sprint / Team / Pulsar using the decals available from eBay but I no longer have the time to finish
Specifications
Chrome frame set including forks
23” Centre Bottom bracket to top centre of seat tube (stamped 51 on the head tube)
23” Centre Head tube to centre of seat tube
Weinmann dual pull brake levers with rare Weinmann blue calliper and original Raleigh brake blocks
Vintage Sachs shifters
Original steel seat post with Red Raleigh bolt
Generic saddle (plain but fully functional)
Custom Chainset
Sachs Huret Front and rear mechs (10 Speed)
Vintage Maillard France hubs, rustless spokes and Raleigh chrome rims, will need a little tlc to remove some light surface rust
Michelin World Tour tyres
pedals are standard raleigh items
with a little tlc and upgraded components it would make a fantastic unique vintage road bike and could be used for bike shop promotion
Condition
bright chrome work to the frame for its near 40 year age
The only things to mention is the fork which will need to be replaced or repaired before use and the remnants of previous paint / blue chrome lacquer particularly around the bottom bracket area
I am 5’10” and the bike suits me fine in its current set up but you may need to check yourself if it’s suitable for you after all we are all different!
Also remember this is a used item therefore not shop new.

The bicycle will be carefully boxed for delivery and some minor reassembling will be required (if you are not confident with the reassembly please consider this before purchasing)
The bicycle will be posted 48 hour Parcel Force
No couriers
Collection is fine although cash only using this method
I May also deliver the bicycle for the cost of my fuel
