This retro Bianchi framed road race bike has been in dry storage for long since I stopped racing. I have stripped off and cleaned all components, rebuilt the bike, renewed brake and gear cables where required, checked/reset everything to full working order, and road tested it, so it’s ready to go. A light responsive machine, and a smooth ride.SPECIFICATION AND EQUIPMENT.Frame – 58 cm Bianchi Caurus 908 in pink with black front forks. Columbus cromor tubing.Wheels/tyres – Mavic Reflex sprint rims on Campagnolo QR hubs, stainless steel spoked (36/36). Vittoria Competition tubulars (properly secured with new Jantex tub tape).Chainset/pedals – Campagnolo alloy double, 52/42. Campagnolo ‘Look’ style clipless pedals.Front & rear mech – Both Campagnolo Mirage. Down tube levers.Gearing – Campagnolo indexed 8 speed close ratio cassette – 13/14/15/16/17/19/21/23.Brakes – Campagnolo Mirage side pull caliper .Saddle – Selle San Marco on Campagnolo alloy seat pillar.Handlebars/ stem – Cinelli ‘Giro d’Italia’ alloy bars, width 42mm (with new tape) on Cinelli 12mm stem.Included spares – 2 useable tubulars (not punctured), 3 used Cinelli stems ( 11,13, &14 cm).Overall, the bike is in good used condition considering its age, and has been responsibly maintained as a proper racing machine although, inevitably, over the years the frame has acquired some chips to the paintwork, particularly on the chainstay, which was taped over both for cosmetic and protection reasons (we all know what happens when your chain derails!). Both wheels are true. There is some scuffing to the rear part of the saddle which I have highlighted in photo no. 6.I hope the pictures will give good indication as to the condition of the bike and I will be pleased to answer any questions you may have, and if required, provide additional photos.
