Vintage Retro L’ Eroica Raleigh Banana road racing bike – mid 70’s?
Very cool L’ Eroica ready Raleigh Banana road bike that’s been in storage for quite a while – I’ve given it a lot of love and it rides well.
Mechanically it runs ok but cosmetically it’s challenged
It has corrosion on some steel parts, and some major and minor rust on the paintwork – but as you can see from the pictures it’s a good looking bike and worth spending some time on the cosmetics.
The seat post and stem move in the for height adjustment.
Frame / Fork: steel tubing
Transmission: Huret/Simplex12 speed
Brakes: Weinmann side pull
Wheels: not a matching pair but look similar – in good condition – the 700c tyres are showing their age and will need replacing soon.
Finishing kit: alloy bar and stem, decent saddle and period pedals
Size: 54cm seatube (measured centre to top). The bike should fit a rider 5’ 4” to 5’ 9”
Collection only: Little Chalfont, Bucks, or I can meet you at Chalfont and Latimer station (Metropolitan or Chiltern line).
