Wilier Montegrappa Elite, Medium 54CM
I have for sale here my Wilier Montegrappa, it’s been a fantastic bike and has only covered just under 1200 miles. Although the wheels, brakes etc. Have all recently been upgraded so have covered much less. The bike is in fantastic condition, it’s never been crashed and as such is in lovely condition. The only real wear being cable rubs on the head tube and the logo on the seat has worn. It has a tiny scratch on the rear mech where my bikes have been leaning against each other, but I’ve touched this in so it’s hardly noticeable. The shifters have a few bashes in the top where the little clear logo is, this being victim of the bike mechanic stand spring failing and the bike swinging round into the side of my shed……. a real buy cheap buy twice moment for me!
This is a really fantastic endurance bike, it’s fairly light, comfortable, fast, rigid and for me at 5’ 7” fits me perfectly.

Groupset:
Shimano 105 rear mech and cassette, tiagra front mech and shifters. FSA omega crankset. 2×10 setup.
Brakes:
Almost new Shimano Ultegra, I think these are from the current R8000 range but you’ll have to check! See pictures.
Wheels:
Included in the price are the Mavic Askiums, these I bought as winter wheels so haven’t really covered a great deal of miles, looking at Strava they’ve only done about 250 miles. Alternatively as pictured I also have a new set of Mavic Cosmic wheels, these have done exactly 87 miles. If you’d like these I can simply add £150 to the price of the auction and I’ll switch these over and keep the Askiums. Either way, they are both perfectly straight and are built on the same bombproof Mavic hubs, perfectly smooth and round!
Whichever wheel you go for they will have the gatorskin tyres in the photos, these have been on the bike for 800 or so miles but still have lots and lots of life in them, I’ve never had a puncture the whole time they have been on! The inner tubes are also slime filled, a little heavier but again probably contribute towards never having a puncture. All the benefits of running tubeless only with a tube!
Pedals:
The bike has Look Keo super lightweight pedals, So you’d need Look Cleats to be able to ride on them, or I’ll happily swap them over to some basic black plastic pedals – let me know.
Other upgrades:
The last upgrade, again photographed is the Deda stem, it’s a touch lighter and also makes the vibrations a little more bearable on an endurance ride. Visually makes a nice difference too.
