Here we have for sale a stunning Italian Wilier Triestina MonteGRAPPA road racing bike.
Cost £1,300 new
This bike has just undergone a major & very expensive overhaul including a bare frame strip & replacement of, gear cables & brake cables (inner & outer), bar tape, chain, bottom bracket, upgraded brake callipers, brake pads, tyres, stainless bolts where required, front hub service, headset service, titanium wheel skewers,new bottle cage & new upgraded rear mech.
The bike has been assembled & set up to the highest standard by myself (an expert bike mechanic) & is an absolute joy to ride, it get’s down the road really quickly with lightning fast gear shifting & razor sharp handling due to having a very short wheelbase.
This bike benefits from having top of the range 25c Vitoria zaffiro pro tyres & a campagnolo xenon 2×10 speed groupset with veloce front & rear mechs which are all in keeping with its Italian heritage & has beautiful 3K carbon aero forks with a super light alloy frame.
It has a great quality W.A.R.P finishing kit (bars, stem, seatpost & saddle) which have good ergonomics for a solid & comfortable riding experience. (The saddle is actually made by prologo)
The wheels are high quality warp road race items which are true & tight with stainless spokes & a novatec 5 cartridge bearing rear hub & Shimano front hub which both run fast & smooth & have minimal brake surface wear.
The drivetrain has been fully stripped & degreased with the chain having had a hot wax/PTFE dip which is a superior lubricator to oil which will dramatically reduce drivetrain wear & will eliminate the usual build up of gunk & mess so no more chainring tattoos or oily hands when repairing punctures etc.
The frame size is 20”/51cm medium & has an FSA vero 50-34-170 compact chainset & 11-28 cassette which offers a great mix of climbing ability & speed.
The bike has the odd small mark here & there from use as to be expected but is still one hell of a nice bike & will not disappoint any prospective buyer rest assured as I have left no stone unturned in my quest to make this one of the best examples out there.

For an additional £15.00 I can also supply a block of paraffin wax/PTFE mix so you never need to oil the chain again (you will need a slow cooker to do the hot wax dip) or you can go back to using oil if you wish.
