Here we have for sale a beautiful Claud Butler Vuelta, road racing bike which is in great condition.
This came to me (an expert bike mechanic) having been unused for some time & in need of some care which I was happy to provide as I love these classic machines.
I have treated her to a (gold) bare frame strip service (worth £150) with new luxurious bar tape, new gear cables & bottom bracket bearings.
I really enjoyed bringing this old girl back to her best & when I took to the road on her it took me back to when I was a teenager & first fell in love with Road bikes.
She rides beautifully, smooth, fast & with excellent gear shifting with strong brakes this bike will not disappoint in any way.
Equipment wise it has a very stiff high tensile steel frame with high tensile steel aero forks which gives a comfortable & compliant riding experience due to it soaking up bumps & road buzz very well.
Shimano Sora front & rear mechs with indexed down tube shifter’s, high power dual pivot brakes with tektro levers, rigida wheels, continental ultra sport 23c tyres, a 38-52-170 chain set & 13-28 HG cassette which gives a great mix of speed & climbing ability, selle italia saddle & high quality bars, stem & seatpost top off the spec.
The bike benefits from having a fully degreased drivetrain & chain which has been hot wax/PTFE dipped which unlike oil stops all the gunk build up, chainring tattoos & prevents premature drivetrain wear due to chain oil mixing with grit & turning into a grinding paste.
The frame size is 58cm large & will suit riders from 5ft 10 to well over 6ft with ease.
I have left no stone unturned in my Refurbishment of this lovely bike & hope to find a good home for her where she will get the use she deserves.
Every bike which goes through my workshop is subject to a vigorous 10 mile road test to ensure reliability & perfect performance so you can buy with complete confidence.
This would make a superb & reliable fast commuting / delivery bike or just something special for the weekend.
