Hi, for sale is my RALEIGH AIRLITE 200 Road/Racing bike
Frame is a small/medium, measuring 19″ Bottom Bracket to seat post (roughly 51/52cm)
It is a very clean looking entry level road bike and comes in a beautiful blue and white paint scheme, really does look great, and what really attracted me.
It has 700c wheels that run true, and has had two new 700c/23 tan wall tyres I fitted, X1 Michelin Classic and X1 unbranded, really gives it a retro look.
The bike has been great, I bought it to try road cycling again, having been a dedicated mountain biker (and still firmly am) but I have decided the discipline is not for me, so I would like someone else to enjoy it – as it will just get assigned to the shed.
I have covered about 220 miles on this bike, according to my Strava, all runs fine, feels nice, light and responsive.
I have had it serviced, and had its gears re-indexed at my local bike shop a few weeks back, along with new black bar tape.
Bad bits
Couple of paint chips as expected, few areas where the cable has rubbed and rubs on crank arms from pedaling, which is to be expected on a used bike and a few scuffs on the brake lever.Brake pads ever so slightly touch rim, on rotation, brakes pads may just need slight adjustment if your bothered by this.
The seat is a nice Selle Italia with no marks or rips.
Has SHIMANO 8 speed 2×8 running gear, all runs fine, fairly new chain also.
Overall the bikes is in great condition and well looked after as you can see in the photos, I always cleaned/lubed on my bike stand after every ride.
It will come with the toe clip pedals it came with not fitted as I used my mountain bike clipless pedals, which I’ve removed as will be keeping.
