Trek Madone 5.5 Pro 2009
Hello, Thank you forlooking at my Trek Madone. Will you be the lucky owner of this amazing bike? Starting at a pound and no reserve.
I bought this bike new from Evans in 2009 (£1700) it’s only had light dry weather use in that time. The total mileage on this bike is about two hundred miles around Italy and a few dozen laps of Richmond Park. It has never been used for commuting and never crashed.
It is very much a 15 years old, new bike.
The bike has always been kept indoors, away from directsunlight or high temperatures. Except for the tyres this bike is in original condition as delivered. The tyres were swapped for GP5000s in about 2019, they still have their original seem lines the bike has not been ridden since 2019.
Ironically one of the frame decals on the top tube partially peeled away when the protective delivery film was removed. Other than that, there are no signs of wear to the frame. It looks like a new bike.
It may be15 years old and have the retro vibe of rim brakes, cable operated 10 speed gears and exotic laced wheels. Even by modernstandards this is a very light (7.5KG), very stiff road bike.
It’s a 60cm equivalent frame size, I’m about 6’2” (187cm)and this bike fits be well but there is still scope to raise or lower the seatmast. Please check your measurements before bidding.
The saddle height range that this bike can adjust between is limited by the seat mast type frame. From the centre of the Bottom Bracket to top of the saddle the range is approx 76cm – 85cm. You aan achieve a slightly higher max height with a saddle with deeper rails. Trek used to sell a longer seat mast. Please check your measurements before bidding.
